First Year Reflections

May 19th was joyous day for the Archdiocese as six men were ordained to the priesthood. Worth celebrating were all the sacrifices, hard work, and dedication that these men demonstrated in their priestly studies and their willingness to offer themselves to God.

Our seminarians are courageous men, heeding the call of Jesus Christ. Their profiles and backgrounds are different, but their passion is the same: becoming the men God calls them to be.

Could it be me?

In every generation, Jesus calls men to be priests just as He called the apostles. This vocation is a call to share in the priesthood of Jesus Christ so that his unique saving mission may continue through pastoral service, proclamation of the Word and a celebration of the sacraments, especially the Eucharist and the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
