What year did you enter the seminary? August 2011

What did you do prior to seminary entrance?
I was a full time high school student at Father Judge Catholic High School, and I was worked at four years in the restaurant business as the Maître D.

What influenced your decision to enter the seminary?
Growing up I had the pleasure of knowing many great priests who served as good examples and role models for me. Also the Church’s presence in my life through the sacraments played an important part in my discernment.

Why do you want to be a priest?
I want to be a priest so that I can serve our Lord and the Church that He instituted for us. Being a servant of Jesus also means being a servant to all mankind. I have witnessed so many good priests do a wonderful job at fulfilling this task. I can only hope and pray that one day I will be able to do the same.

What did your family and friends think about your decision to enter the seminary?
They were all very supportive of my decision.

What do you do for fun?
I like to golf, watch movies, go out to dinner, and visit with my friends.

Who is your favorite Saint?
I have a strong devotion to the Blessed Mother and Saint Joseph, but I am also in the habit of invoking the intercession of Saint John Vianney and Saint Louis de Monfort.

What advice would you give to a young man thinking about the seminary?
Don’t be afraid or discouraged because of what other people think. If God is calling you to the priesthood, then complying with His desire will bring great happiness. Don’t discern on your own. Talk to a spiritual director or a parish priest.
