What year did you enter the seminary?
2005

What did you do prior to seminary entrance?
Graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School and attended Penn State Main Campus for one year.

What influenced your decision to enter the seminary?
There were many factors that influenced my decision but my greatest influence was my pastor, Monsignor Matteo.

Why do you want to be a priest?
To serve God in the way I feel he is calling me to serve. To be able to say Mass and administer the sacraments to God’s people.

What did your family and friends think about your decision to enter the seminary?

My family was hesitant but when they saw how happy I was, they fully supported me. Even my grandfather, who is a Lutheran minister, supports me. It’s a blessing.

What do you do for fun?
I play the guitar, listen to music and play sports.

Who is your favorite Saint?
Saint Dymphna. She has a great story and a fervent love for God. She died a virgin and martyr. I pray to her to give me the strength to live as God calls me to and wants me to live.

What advice would you give to a young man thinking about the seminary?

I suggest to follow your inkling and give God a chance in the seminary.
