Student loan debt can be an obstacle to pursuing a priestly vocation, but it is not an insurmountable obstacle.  Men who are interested in becoming seminarians for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, but who have some debt, should contact the Vocation Director to discuss possibilities.  One option that has helped several of our discerners to enter the seminary has been working with the Laboure Society, which helps discerners to mitigate debt while also offering good formation and a sense of community as they prepare to enter seminary formation.
