In keeping with the current edition of the Program of Priestly Formation, the years of formation for these men are now referred to as stages: Propaedeutic (new stage), Discipleship (previously, College Seminary or Pre-Theology), Configuration (previously I Theology to III Theology), and Vocational Synthesis (previously, IV Theology; Diaconate).
